Anti-trust and libraries

CBS reported this Spring that Wall Street firms reportedly spent $5 billion to influence Congress over the past ten years.  Given the trillions bequeathed to them in direct bailouts and loan guarantees over the past 9 months, I’d say they’ve gotten a pretty good return on investment.

Just before hitting the road last month to promote his much-hyped new book “Free”, Wired Magazine editor Chris Anderson was exposed for using the work of others without attribution.

And this month The Washington Post was forced to cancel its plans when Politico guessed who was coming to dinner for $25,000 per plate.

Geez, are there any public figures or institutions that can be trusted these days?  Wink, wink.
