I’ve been at the Reference Renaissance 2010 conference in Denver since Sunday and it’s been incredibly illuminating and energizing. Many thanks to the BCR Library Network for their invitation to be a plenary panelist, generous hospitality and assistance connecting me with talented people from around the country, England and Canada.
What a privilege it has been to be ‘let inside’ – to connect with library professionals unburdened by the need to demonstrate value with every statement … to see them for who they really are; not superheroes or crazy nordic warrior queens, but simply information professionals working to:
- wade through the overgrown info landscape to clear a path for the rest of us
- experiment with technology tools that will enhance and help contextualize our human experience
- identify and remove barriers of access to info and human resources

It was great having you at the conference, and wonderful to have dinner and get acquainted. Sounds like you had a great time in Colorado… Estes Park is one of my favorite places. Sorry it took me so long to write and say hello and thank you once again…
